Side Pots launched — CAKE prizes to be won every single weekday
Last week saw the long-awaited arrival of our first Side Pots. These new Moonpots give Cadets a chance to win a prize every single weekday (Mon to Fri). Each Side Pot will start by having only one winner, and be focused 100% on the prize (with no interest paid). As the Pot grows we will add more winners — with the goal being that each winning ticket gets at least $1,000.
For our first Side Pot, we’ve chosen CAKE. Deposit your CAKE in the CAKE Side Pot and you have a shot of winning the prize each and every weekday. As always, your deposit is never at risk and can always be reclaimed without any loss (as long as you fulfill the three-day Fairplay Timelock). The first CAKE Side Pot was awarded on 13 Oct. Since then we’ve had a 66% increase in the number of Cadets joining the Pot. As the TVL increases so will the number of winners. Our most recent Side Pot was won by a Cadet with just 45 CAKE. Two new Community Pots coming
We’ve been seeing a lot of love for our Community Pots. Captain Ziggy has been hugely impressed by the fantastic support we’ve received from fans of the projects already brought into the Moonpot ecosystem — namely ApeSwap, Paçoca, and Blizzard.Money. As such, they’ve been out on their rocket ship to survey the BSC landscape and see who else to bring aboard our ticket to the stars. The Captain can confirm that we’ll soon be taking our number of Community Pots from three to five with the addition of Pots for BabySwap’s BABY and Alpaca Finance’s ALPACA.
Moonpot’s Cadets have now won more than $3 million in prizes
Moonpot’s first-ever winners were announced on 26 July 2021 with five lucky Cadets sharing a prize pot of CAKE and BIFI currently worth $112,469. Nearly three months later and we now have at least 200 winning tickets a month spread over 12 different Moonpots. Take last Tuesday (Oct 12) for example: three prize draws (BANANA, CAKE, PACOCA), 21 winners, and over $100,00 in prizes. Epic scenes from Captain Ziggy and their crew. Better yet, The Captain is happy to report that since that first draw at the end of July we have given out more than $3 million in prizes. And remember: even if you haven’t won yet, every single Cadet has benefited from stellar APY each day and a prize game where you always keep your deposit. It’s win-win.
The revenue buyback continues — with 4,973 POTS bought this week
Mission Control completed yet another buyback this week. Ziggy went to market with revenue from the Moonpot platform and bought their Cadets 4,973 POTS to be distributed via Ziggy’s Pot. The weekly buyback will only get bigger as more and more Moonpots are released. If you’re still unfamiliar with Moonpot’s buyback mechanism, please be sure to read our docs. These buybacks are used to support the POTS APY on Ziggy’s Pot — alongside the POTS we continue to distribute during this phase of the project for first movers. Remember Cadets, you’re still early.
Partnerships with CoinMarketCap and Binance Smart Chain
Captain Ziggy knows how to make friends and influence people. Last week saw the completion of two marketing projects with some of the space’s biggest hitters — namely airdrops with CoinMarketCap and Binance Smart Chain’s Learn & Earn program. Be sure to follow our official Twitter account or Telegram announcement channel to be the first to hear about our next big campaign. POTS selected for BiShare’s FOMO Fund
The first Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) will soon start trading on the New York Stock Exchange. But when it comes to ETFs there’s much bigger news for Cadets to digest, which is that POTS has been selected for the BiShares FOMO Fund. This is another great win for Moonpot. For those of you new to the space, BiShares offers decentralized exchange-traded funds (dETFs) for crypto diversification. Their FOMO Fund is made up of 11 tokens identified as having ample room for growth and is targeted at those who seek to maximize returns. This is the second BiShares fund POTS has now been added to — the first being their Game Fund where we sit in a portfolio alongside the likes of Axie Infinity and CryptoBlades. Next stop: Wall Street.
28,000 Cadets now hodling POTS
The Moonpot Army continues to grow. Last week saw the number of wallets holding or staking POTS top 28k. We now also have more than 50k Cadets in our Telegram group, and over 95k followers on Twitter. Coin98 Insights reported that Moonpot was the number one project with the highest social signal on Binance Smart Chain. BSC Daily, meanwhile, places Moonpot at No 1 when ranking BSC DApps by social signal. The number of Cadets on Ziggy’s mission to the moon just keeps growing every day.
