When it comes to exploring the galaxy, one just isn’t enough. After almost six months of win-win savings on Binance Smart Chain, the time is coming for us to return Moonpots from exciting, new sources. That’s right, Ziggy is going at warp speed towards new blockchains, bringing Cadets multi-chain opportunities to save, earn, and win!

What blockchains will you expand to?

Our decision to open Moonpots on new blockchains comes down to a few factors:

  1. Beefy support for the chain. As we use Beefy Vaults to generate our APY and interest, any new blockchains must already be supported by Beefy.
  2. A trusted way of drawing winners. Currently, we use Chainlink VRF for our draws. This is our preferred method for selecting prizewinners, but we are developing alternate methods for chains without VRF support.
  3. Returns and rewards. We want to expand to chains that reward our users with attractive APYs for even bigger prizes throughout the platform.

Currently set in our sights is a release on Polygon first, followed by Fantom. However, this is totally dependent on a number of factors we’ll cover later. Nevertheless, development is underway, designs are being created, and Mission Control is getting ready to land these Pots back on Earth.

Why are you going multi-chain?

As new blockchains develop and rise in popularity, users race towards low fees, speedy transactions, and attractive APYs. Why would Moonpot be any different? There are great opportunities to take across a wide range of blockchains on the Beefy platform. This means more prizes, interest, and Moonpots for our savers.

$POTS holders should also benefit from the increased utility of the token. A multi-chain experience should also have a positive effect on our TVL, meaning stakers in Ziggy’s Pot benefit from increased profits.

When will I be able to stake in Moonpots on different blockchains?

As of yet, we have no official date to provide. Completion of our multi-chain expansion requires the coordination of our partners, dev team, and marketing. We’re already working on the smart contracts, and as per usual, trying to make sure we get boosts for new Pots too. What we can say is that you’ll be staking in Moonpots across multiple blockchains in the not too distant future.
